Nota d'usoQuando si parla di attività commerciali, come un negozio o una piccola ditta, non si usa la parola “activity”, ma “business”: Ha un'attività, he's got his own business (non he's got an activity). “Business”, infatti, è un termine generico per indicare un'azienda, e viene usato in particolare quando si tratta di un'impresa di dimensioni ridotte, di solito gestita dal proprietario. Quando è usato con questo significato, “business” è un sostantivo numerabile: piccole attività commerciali, small businesses. -
